At zag, we know all good things start with strategy. That’s how we make sure every campaign, social post and line of copy is expertly crafted and aligned with purpose. To that end, we’re looking to add +1 to our strategy team! Strategists are responsible for developing solutions to meet clients’ objectives based on research, consumer insight and data. If you’re an expert organizer who is highly effective at staying on top of multiple projects, exercising proactive thinking skills and possesses some exceptional verbal and written communication skills and strong attention to detail — you sound perfect. Key activities include:

  • Provide sound and responsible strategic solutions and planning
  • Create well-researched brand identities that incorporate in-depth brand and market knowledge, personas, organizational processes and competitive analysis
  • Assist in campaign measurement to ensure clients and agency are aligned on key performance metrics and realistic goals
  • Help provide accountability through reporting and analytical-based insights

As a Strategist, you’ll ensure the agency provides work that exceeds clients’ expectations by constantly and consistently adapting and anticipating industry trends and delivering a superior product. You’ll report to the Co-Creative Directors and work closely with internal team members involved on assigned agency clients. Work will take place in the Edmonton office but you can be located anywhere.

We’re looking for a candidate with a minimum of 5 years under their belt, experience working at other agencies or firms, copywriting know-how, and an eagle eye for all things words (punctuation, spelling, etc.).
